UHNWI Chef — Private Chef Recruitment

Impact

7

stages of the search, published in full

8

checks before a chef reaches a shortlist

5

regions covered, from the UK to Asia-Pacific

01

Challenge

Private service runs on discretion. Most searches are never advertised, because publishing a family's vacancy means publishing where they live and how they eat. So the usual recruitment playbook — job board, listings, applications — is exactly the wrong instrument. Households don't want a stack of CVs, and chefs at this level don't apply through forms.

02

Strategy

Make the site behave like a private introduction. No public vacancies. Two separate journeys — one for households opening a search, one for chefs joining the network — and in place of the listings, the thing that actually earns trust in this market: the method, shown step by step, in the open.

03

Solution

A site with the search process itself as the centrepiece: seven stages from confidential consultation to placement and follow-up, and the eight checks a chef passes before reaching a shortlist. Coverage laid out by region, the roles named plainly — permanent, temporary, yacht, travelling, event, dietary and wellness — and a single confidential brief as the way in.

The work, up close

UHNWI Chef section on global coverage: a superyacht moored below a Mediterranean villa terrace, beside a list of the regions served — United Kingdom and Europe, Mediterranean, Middle East, Americas, Asia-Pacific
Coverage by region — searches that follow the household, not the office
UHNWI Chef on mobile: the wordmark, the headline “Exceptional people for exceptional environments” and the two calls to action — begin a confidential search, or join the private network
Mobile — the same two doors, nothing else competing
The seven stages of the UHNWI Chef search, numbered 01 to 07, from confidential consultation and requirement definition through talent search, vetting, shortlist, trial and placement
The method in the open — the only proof available when the client list is private

Process

  1. 01Positioning: the method as the proof, since the client list can never be shown
  2. 02Two funnels with nothing in common: a confidential brief for households, a private network for chefs
  3. 03Editorial pass on the whole site — restrained serif, dark ground, photography carrying the register
  4. 04Insights section to hold the search visibility a private-service brand can't buy with listings
