01

Reto

Elementz Apartments has 142 reviews on Booking.com, a 8.8 rating for its staff and around ten thousand followers on Facebook. It also has no website: the domain it still prints on its listings has no DNS records at all, and its Google Business Profile shows the prompt “Add a website”. Every guest arrives through a channel that charges 15–22% commission, and two competitors within a kilometre outrank it on the map.

02

Estrategia

Build the thing rather than pitch it, and price it against the commission the owner is already paying — roughly USD 36 on a three-night stay. Route enquiries through WhatsApp, which is how Suriname actually communicates, and which fixes the arrival-coordination complaint that recurs in the guest reviews. Make every claim traceable: the site is assembled entirely from what the property already publishes about itself.

03

Solución

A single-page site built on the property’s own identity — the orange sampled from the sign at its entrance and its kitchen units, the sun from its logo redrawn as a vector and used throughout. The property’s name supplies the structure: water, wood, stone, green and quiet, five elements drawn from its own courtyard. One dark block for the hero photograph, one full-colour block to close, white in between. The availability form composes a pre-filled WhatsApp message from the guest’s dates, party size and apartment type, and is built so a channel manager can take over the calendar later without redesigning the flow.

The work, up close

The Elementz Apartments site: “Five elements, one address” above a grid of photographs of the pool, the timber pergola and the lit stone entrance
The property’s name as its structure — water, wood, stone, green, quiet
The availability section: check-in and check-out fields, a guest stepper and an apartment selector, above a button reading “Check availability on WhatsApp”
The form writes the guest’s WhatsApp message and shows it before sending
The closing contact block in the property’s own orange, with its sun mark redrawn above the heading “Come and see for yourself”
The orange and the sun mark, both taken from the sign at the entrance
The Elementz Apartments home page on a phone: the pool photograph behind the headline, with the availability and WhatsApp buttons stacked below

Proceso

  1. 01Research first — DNS, Google Business Profile, Booking.com, Facebook and the nearby competition
  2. 02A content layer where every fact carries its source, so nothing could be invented later
  3. 03Brand colour sampled from the property’s own signage across three daylight photographs
  4. 04The property’s photographs pulled from its listings and graded for a white ground
  5. 05Front end built and deployed, then a costed proposal written against the commission maths
